Home care Visit
Did you know that baby starts developing teeth as early 6 weeks gestation and up until birth?
The process of teeth eruption or “teething” might differ from child to child, ranging from 6 to 12 months old. When the “teething” process occur, the baby teeth would start to erupt past the gum line, which sometimes may develop a blue-grey bubble on the gum called “eruption cyst”.
This process would often causes discomfort, changing in sleeping cycle or eating habits, along with symptoms that might be similar to common cold. These factors directly affect not only the baby’s growth but also the proper development of the adult and baby teeth.
It is not only important to stay in touch with your pediatrician, but also to your dentist, as early as the 6 months of age. At your dental visit, we are committed to provide proper assessment of the dentition, proper homecare instruction, nutritional counseling based on the child’s need along with processional cleaning, and fluoride application.
It is also a great way to get the baby become familiarize with the dental setting, and educate them about the need of oral care prevention.
